Pteris（member of CIMC） has successfully won the bid for the Phase II expansion and renovation project of Jinan Yaoqiang Airport, including the T2 terminal and the integrated transportation center baggage system project, with a total bid amount of approximately 557 million yuan.
The Phase II expansion project of Jinan Yaoqiang Airport has a terminal building with a construction area
of approximately 600,000 square meters, and the GTC has a construction area of approximately 386,000
square meters. The T2 terminal is designed to accommodate an annual passenger throughput of 43 million,
and the airside is constructed according to a 4F standard. This project was officially signed in June 2024, with
a total construction period of 846 calendar days, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
As the systems integrator, Pteris is primarily responsible for the detailed design (including BM and system
simulation), equipment manufacturing, factory inspection, transportation, warehousing, product protection,
installation, commissioning and initial acceptance, trial operation, final acceptance, and after-sales service
for the T2 terminal and the Comprehensive Transportation Center baggage system project in the Phase II
expansion of Jinan Yaoqiang Airport. To actively respond to the Civil Aviation Administration’s requirements
for "Type IV airports," the project will introduce multiple new technologies, such as Building Information
Modeling (BIM), batch simulation of the baggage system, full-process baggage elimination system, robotic
automatic loading system, airborne picking and stacking system, and visual auxiliary sorting system,
significantly enhancing the intelligence level during both implementation and operation of the project.
The Phase II expansion and renovation of Jinan International Airport is a key project for the civil aviation
system and Shandong Province. It serves as a major landmark project for the conversion of old and new
growth drivers and high-quality development, and is a "business card" for improving the comprehensive
transportation system.
